06.02.10

Beezus and I went to the craft store today and got our art on. It was fun. She has two paintbrushes and two glitter glue sticks, and is using bits of origami paper willy nilly.

As I took pictures of her, she declared she was done, stood up and begged for the camera for her artwork photos. I love how each paint color gets its own brush.

We have an art room, but somehow we have been ending up on the kitchen table again. Perhaps because Thor is sleeping on his swing there and we can listen to the Barber of Seville while we paint in the dining room. We do love opera. Oh, and here is the some of the work I did today.

Three Jizos. Watercolor and ink. 7"x10".

Five Jizos. Watercolor. 7"x10"

Protect. Watercolor and ink. Artist Trading Card (2 1/2"x3 1/2")

Three Jizos. Watercolor and ink. Artist Trading Card (2 1/2"x3 1/2")

Sad. Watercolor. 4"x6"

And if anyone has read this far and is interested, wanna trade an artist trading card with me? Let me know.

I'm always up for a trade! I was just thinking about ATC while doing the dishes.... weird! That would give me a nice project to work on too.

Lovely art work. What do you seal your art with when using ModgePodge? My pages in the altered book tend to stay tacky enough that when closed they stick together.

Oh, awesome. I have one of yours and I absolutely adore it. I haven't really figured out what to seal it with. The pages in my art journal stick together too. Anyone?

I'm also up for ATC. I love the blurriness of the second picture...the light is great.

me, me, me! ATC top of the list tomorrow morning. Or even now?? Temptation!! I need to sleep. Too much sun, too much garden, too much digging. Can hardly stay awake.

No idea on the sticky stuff.

And congratulations on your most important new creation - your son!

This would actually be my first time trading ATC...are there any unmentioned rules I should know about? I have a few made already, and have a few more stuck in my brain right now.
